Aching Quad Lakeland FL Sept. 25 and 26th

Alison and her friend Shay had a great time running in the Aching Quad this weekend. The first (5k) of a series of 4 races began in a rain storm. I think the rain just added to the excitement. The race was scheduled to start at 7PM, however, was delayed 1/2 hr. to ensure the absence of lightening. I shot the below pics with my D700 and had the ISO cranked up to 5000. I think the pics turned out pretty good for being shot in the dark.

The 2nd race (1 mile) began at 7AM Saturday. The third race (2 mile) started at 8:30. Here are a few pics. The last race (5K) is tonight at 7PM. Too fun!!!!!!

It’s fun to add different filters to images and make them more artistic. Here is one image with a few different filters. I even went as far as merging two photos together, to get a totally different look. It’s amazing what you can do in Photoshop.

Florida Gator’s Game #1 2009

“Team Koukoulis” had an awesome time in Gaineville yesterday at the season opener of Flroida foodball action. We started off by tailgating with some great friends and then greeting the Florida Gator’s at the “Gator Walk”, and we were early enough to get right up front. Ryan and his “best buddy” J, got high fives and fist bumps from most of the players on the team. Ryan most enjoyed his high five from Tim Tebow. Ryan really wants to play quarterback for the Gators one day.
