I’d like to introduce you to Saida. She lives in a small town near Winter Haven with her mother. Her father lives in Puerto Rico. I have spent some time with Saida over the past year and I believe she has overwhelming potential and will shine with encouragement and guidance.
I have always felt a strong calling to help pre-teen girls in need of finding their identity and building their self-esteem. The ages between 12 – 15 are critical in their development. It is during this time that insecurities heighten and outside influences have an amazing impact on their decisions. The need to belong and self-expression sometimes leads to poor decision-making.
I believe that being occupied by sports, art, science, photography or anything that requires discipline and dedication, will have a positive impact and keep children on track.
I pray that God uses my photography, for his good. I pray that God’s hand stays on Saida always and that he stations angels around her to protect her.
The pics below were taken at Saida’s home 3/26/08.

Steve Buckler, friend and fellow Nikon shooter from Sunrise, FL, just returned from the WPPI Convention in Las Vegas. He has a ton of great information to share. I can not wait to hear all about it Steve, so feel free to comment to this post with some of the highlights or maybe we can get a bunch of photographers together to share info. I like your new business cards. Very clean and classy. I am really over-thinking the business card thing. I am concentrating on branding. David Kerce, Graphic Artist has agreed to create a logo for a very reasonable fee. I am seriously considering changing the name of my business. I like, Photography by Tammy Michelle (my middle name). Let me know what you think. I am definitely open to ideas. For now, I am still using the photo business cards. (Mike Colon would be so disappointed). Happy Easter - He is risen- Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. ‘Bible: John 11:25-26 NIV –
The joyful news that He is risen does not change the contemporary world. Still before us lie work, discipline, sacrifice. But the fact of Easter gives us the spiritual power to do the work, accept the discipline, and make the sacrifice. -Henry Knox Sherril
What a great weekend! I had family down from South Carolina (We missed you Sarah and Clay, hope to see you two very soon). When we get together, we always have a blast and this time was no different. Friday night we decided to play a game of Putt Putt Golf @ Pirates Cove in Orlando.
My cousin David introduced us to his new girlfriend, Amy. She is adorable, funny and sweet. She definitely fits right in.
Christy and Rocky- Thanks for the excellent wine tasting Saturday night. I was surprised to find that you two have become quite the Wine Connoisseurs ……very impressive!
Check out some of the pic’s below.

My son Ryan, (predisposed to become a golfer) skipped school today with his Dad to attend a practice round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational @ Bay Hill, Orlando. I did not accompany him to this event, so I can not take credit for these pictures, but I thought they were cute. Here he is with Kenny PerryPGA Tour Champion http://www.pgatour.com/players/00/19/45/
Arnold Palmer – Most beloved golfer of all time….and owner of Bay Hill.
I used Nik Software Color Efex 3.0 – color stylizer to change the background. I thought it made it look kinda dream like…. nostalgic. I am sure I will be spending a lot of time on the course supporting Ryan when he gets older. Until then, I am staying away!!!!!!!God Bless!

I’ll share some of the most interesting info in a future blog. I’ll need a lot of time to explain. I visited Beymer Methodist Church this past Sunday. It is a beautiful church and the members are very friendly. I didn’t notice many teens, however one young man caught my attention. I will not mention his name, but I will mention his cause. He addressed the church in an effort to bring attention to the political and humanitarian crises taking place in Darfur, Sudan. It is estimated that the casualties range within the hundreds of thousands. Quite honestly, I can’t remember anyone in my high school taking on a project like this, so I was very impressed with this young man. He spoke passionately of his desire to bring awareness to all by designing custom tee-shirts and selling them at church and school for $12 – $15. He has a variety of designs and they all look cool. If you would like to learn more of this project, visit www.darfurdiaries.org Lake Region Senior High School Prom is this Saturday! Check out my blog next for some previews. I will do my best to post them quickly. God Bless!
